Profile Management

Fixed issues

Profile Management 2503 includes the following fixed issues:

  • Apps fail to access %temp% if the profile folder name exceeds eight characters, causing errors like “File not found” in PDF and Word apps. Also, new Microsoft Teams can’t launch. This issue occurs with the container-based profile solution in Citrix Profile Management 2411. It doesn’t occur in version 2402 CU1 or when Profile Management is disabled. [CVADHelp-27589]

  • In Citrix Profile Management 2407, users experienced slow logons and increased I/O operations, leading to storage overload. The issue occurred randomly across Citrix sites with the same VDA version, causing profile load delays and extended logon durations. [CVADHelp-26672]

  • Out-of-bounds memory access can randomly trigger a Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) on the machine. [CVADHelp-27286]

  • On machines where the container-based profile solution is deployed, users encountered a Sharing violation error when trying to save edited attachments (such as Excel, Word, or RTF files) in OneNote. [CVADHELP-26528]

  • On machines where the container-based profile solution is deployed with Enable multi-session write-back for profile containers enabled, users might experience intermittent logon failures, such as The User Profile Service service failed to sign in. User profile cannot be loaded. [CVADHELP-26642]

  • Previously, during logoff processing, mirrored folders took priority over their parent folder’s exclusion settings, causing them to sync unless explicitly excluded. With this fix, folder exclusion now always takes a higher priority. Also, if automatic configuration is enabled, Citrix Profile Management automatically adds mirrored folders to the inclusion list to prevent upgrade-related issues. [UPM-8114]
